Live Wedding Painting
There’s something magical about capturing a wedding as it unfolds — the atmosphere, the laughter, the setting, the people you love most.
A live wedding painting brings all of that together in a unique, hand‑painted artwork created right there on the day. It becomes a beautiful way to preserve the mood and the moment, a gentle form of entertainment for your guests as they watch the scene appear on paper, and a meaningful heirloom you’ll treasure for years to come.
I work in delicate watercolour, painting the marquee, the landscape and guests enjoying themselves. Throughout the afternoon, your guests can watch the artwork come to life, and by the end of the day you’ll have a one‑of‑a‑kind piece that becomes part of your story.
Whether you’d like a small expressive keepsake or a larger, detailed centrepiece, I offer a range of sizes to suit your vision.
How It Works
Before the Day
We’ll chat about the scene you’d like captured — the marquee, the view, the layout, and any special details. You’re welcome to send me examples of styles you love, and I’ll share examples of my own work so you can see how your painting might look.
On the Day
I arrive at the agreed time, set up quietly, and begin painting as your guests arrive. People often enjoy watching the artwork develop — it becomes a lovely talking point and a gentle form of entertainment.
Finishing the Artwork
If you’re happy with the painting as it is, you can take it home on the day. If you’d prefer a few final touches, I can take it back to my studio and either post it to you or drop it off if you’re local.
Pricing
My live wedding painting prices include all materials, on‑site painting from your chosen start time, optional refinements afterwards, and delivery or local drop‑off if needed.
A5 — £150
A charming, expressive keepsake. Perfect for capturing the atmosphere and key elements of the scene in a looser, more spontaneous style.
A4 — £240
A lovely balance of detail and space. Ideal for the marquee, the landscape and a few guests, with enough room for the scene to breathe.
A3 — £380
A larger, more detailed statement piece. Plenty of space for the full setting and multiple figures, with beautiful depth and atmosphere.
If you’re unsure which size to choose, I’m happy to sketch a couple of layout ideas once you’ve booked.
Travel within a 20 mile radius of Chippenham is included. Additional costs may apply for travel further afield proportionate to the distance.
