Watercolour Workshops
Learn to paint in a relaxed, creative environment
Upcoming Workshops
Saturday 16 May 2026, 2-4pm | The Waverley, Chippenham SN15 3HG
Join me for a relaxed, creative afternoon of painting your dream landscape!
Whether it’s rolling hills sprinkled with wildflowers, a serene lakeside sunset, a whimsical forest path, or a view from your favourite holiday spot, the choice is yours.
I’ll take you through the basic techniques of watercolour painting, then guide you through each stage, from sketching and colour mixing to adding those magical finishing touches that bring your scene to life. You’ll head home with your own painting, plus a booklet of tips and inspiration to keep you painting.
All materials (and plenty of encouragement) are provided and all levels are welcome, whether you’re an art enthusiast or have never picked up a paintbrush before. No experience needed, just a love of nature and creativity!
The only thing you’ll need to bring is the picture you’d like to paint! This can be a printed image or a photo on your phone (or you can paint from your imagination if you’re feeling brave!).
We’ll have exclusive use of The Waverley’s spacious main upstairs room, and a complimentary drink of your choice is included in your ticket.
Spaces are limited so booking in advance is essential. If you have any questions, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to help. Hope you can join me!
Saturday 13 June 2026, 2-5pm | The Waverley, Chippenham SN15 3HG
Join us for a relaxed, uplifting afternoon where flowers and painting come together. Set in a calm, welcoming space, this workshop is designed to help you slow down, get creative, and enjoy a few mindful hours making something beautiful – whether you’re coming solo or with friends.
You can choose to book the Full 3hr Floristry & Watercolour Experience and create your own bouquet before painting it, or the 2hr Watercolour Workshop Only to focus purely on painting. Both options are beginner-friendly, no prior experience is needed, and you’ll be guided every step of the way.
This low-pressure workshop is all about enjoyment, experimentation, and discovering your own creative style. Whether you paint a single bloom, a few flowers, or a full bouquet is up to you! You’ll leave with a beautiful floral painting of your own and a newly updated version of Kelly’s Introduction to Watercolour booklet to continue your practice at home.
See below for more details of the two booking options. We’d love to have you join us!
Saturday 11 July 2026, 2-4pm | The Waverley, Chippenham SN15 3HG
Take a break from the everyday and enjoy painting cosy homes and beautiful gardens in watercolour. In this relaxed, therapeutic workshop, you’ll have the freedom to paint a scene that combines buildings and nature — whether that’s a charming house, a garden view, or a favourite place where the two meet.
You might choose to paint cottages, townhouses, or garden buildings alongside flowers, leafy borders, winding paths, fences, pots, benches, and sun-dappled trees. Whether it’s your own home or garden, a place you love to visit, or a scene from your imagination, you’ll be gently guided to create a painting that captures the mood and character of that space.
We’ll explore easy, approachable watercolour techniques for buildings, foliage, flowers, and textures, with supportive guidance on composition, colour, and capturing light. You’re welcome to work in a loose, expressive way or take a more detailed approach — this workshop is about finding what feels right for you.
This session is beginner-friendly and low-pressure, designed to encourage enjoyment and experimentation rather than technical perfection. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created your own watercolour painting to frame, gift, or keep as a personal memento, along with an Introduction to Watercolour booklet to help you continue painting at home.
We’ll have exclusive use of The Waverley’s spacious main upstairs room, and a complimentary drink of your choice is included in your ticket.
All materials are provided (or feel free to bring your own favourites). No prior experience is needed — just curiosity, a love of homes and gardens, and a willingness to have a go!
What to expect
My watercolour workshops are designed to help you slow down, experiment, and enjoy the process of painting, whether you’re completely new to watercolour or looking to build confidence with your technique.
They are informal, friendly, and focused on exploration rather than perfection. You’ll be guided step-by-step through a themed painting, with plenty of space to make it your own.
Each workshop is structured to give you both guidance and freedom:
A warm welcome and introduction to materials
Demonstrations of key watercolour techniques
Step-by-step guidance through a themed painting
Time to experiment and personalise your work
One-to-one support throughout the session
A printed Introduction to Watercolour booklet to keep
Your finished artwork to take home
My workshops are open to all levels, from complete beginners trying watercolour for the first time to more experienced creatives looking to build confidence, learn new techniques, or simply enjoy a relaxed, mindful painting session. No experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
All materials are provided, so you just need to turn up and enjoy painting!
