Sale Price:

Original Price:
£35.00
Saturday 21 March 2026, 2-4pm | The Waverley, Chippenham SN15 3HG
This is not your typical watercolour class.
Instead of focusing on painting a specific subject or leaving with a finished piece, this small group workshop is all about exploring, experimenting, and building a real understanding of how watercolour works.
This session is essentially an extended version of the introductory tutorial I usually include at the start of my workshops, just expanded into a full two hours so we can properly dive in!
I’ll have a seat at the table with you, and we’ll explore everything as a group. I will be demonstrating as we go, and you’ll follow along step by step, trying things out in your own way. It’s relaxed, supportive, and hands-on.
If you enjoy playing with watercolour, getting a bit messy, and discovering what happens when you let go of perfection, this workshop is perfect for you!
During the session, we will explore:
How water and pigment interact on paper
Essential techniques like blending, layering, and lifting
Colour mixing and how different pigments behave
Creating textures, soft edges, and expressive effects
Finding the balance between control and letting go
You will be guided through a series of short exercises designed to help you experiment, build confidence, and feel more in control of the medium.
By the end, you might not have a finished painting, but you will leave with something far more valuable. A deeper understanding of watercolour, stronger skills, and the confidence to go on and create your own work.
Details:
Small, friendly group
2 hour guided session
All materials provided, or feel free to bring your own
Complimentary drink included
Printed copy of my Introduction to Watercolour booklet for you to keep
Discounted price: £30 (usually £35)
This is a short notice session, so I have reduced the price. Future workshops will return to the usual rate.
Come along, have a play, and see watercolour in a completely new way!
