Taylor Swift Albums Art Print
A colourful celebration of every album by Taylor Swift, reimagined as books
Last year, I created a watercolour illustration of all 12 of Taylor Swift’s albums, including her latest release The Life of a Showgirl, reimagined as a bright and beautiful row of books.
As a Swiftie myself, designing this came naturally. I knew exactly which songs and themes to reference for each album and loved the process of bringing them together visually! Each book reflects the personality and era of its album, turning her discography into a cohesive, colourful artwork.

The Process
Planning the Composition
I started by mapping out all 12 albums to create a balanced and visually appealing row of books. Each album cover inspired the colour scheme and details of its book, so that even without text, fans could recognise the era instantly.
Choosing the Details
I wanted each book to reference songs or themes that define the album. This meant subtle visual cues in the artwork—small nods to lyrics, motifs, or iconic album imagery—so that the illustration is full of little Easter eggs for keen Swifties!
Watercolour Techniques
The illustration was created entirely in watercolour, allowing me to layer vibrant colours while keeping the soft, fluid quality of the paint. I experimented with blending, shading, and brushwork to make each “book” stand out while keeping the row cohesive.
Final Touches
Once complete, the artwork was carefully scanned and prepared as high-quality prints, ensuring every brushstroke and colour nuance translates beautifully to A5 and A4 sizes.
This project was a joy to make, combining my love for Taylor Swift’s music with a creative challenge in watercolour illustration. I’m delighted that fellow fans can now enjoy it in their homes or as a thoughtful, unique gift!
