Whether you’re completely new to watercolour or looking to deepen your skills, each session is designed to meet you exactly where you are. You’ll receive gentle encouragement, clear guidance, and the freedom to explore at your own pace.

You can book a one-to-one session as a truly personal creative treat, or choose a couples/friends session and share the experience with a partner, friend, or family member. Painting together can be a lovely way to connect, relax, and enjoy something creative side by side; no prior experience needed.

Every session is fully customised to your interests and experience level. You might explore dreamy landscapes, delicate florals, beloved pets, or expressive abstract work. Guided by Kelly, you’ll learn watercolour techniques, experiment with colour, and enjoy the naturally meditative, therapeutic nature of painting.

Each private watercolour session includes:

A relaxed, fully guided workshop tailored to your interests, pace, and experience
Gentle instruction in watercolour techniques, from simple washes and colour blending to texture and composition
Personalised guidance throughout, with plenty of time for questions
Use of all materials and tools needed on the day
A printed copy of my Illustration to Watercolour booklet to support your painting afterwards

The benefit of a private session

This isn’t a pre-recorded class or a busy group workshop; this is your time.

In a private session, you’ll receive focused, one-to-one (or one-to-two) support throughout. Every question is welcomed, and we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable and encouraging.

Before your session, I’ll ask if there are any subjects or themes you’d love to paint and prepare accordingly. You’re also very welcome to bring along a reference image if there’s something specific you’d like to work from.

Prices are per session. An additional £15 applies for a second participant.

Sessions are delivered in or near Chippenham, either in my home art space, your home, or a venue that does not charge a hire fee.

Additional costs may apply if venue hire is required or for travel beyond the Chippenham area, depending on location.

Optional add-on: Watercolour Essentials Kit

If you’d like to continue painting after your session but would rather not spend time researching and ordering supplies, I offer a curated Watercolour Essentials Kit.

Each kit includes everything you need to keep painting at home and is available for £25. It’s designed to remove barriers, keep your momentum going, and let you leave the session ready to paint straight away; no waiting for deliveries.

Cancellation policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your private watercolour session, please let me know as soon as possible.

Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with more than 48 hours’ notice can be rearranged to a new date at no extra charge.
Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will be counted as taken.
In exceptional or unforeseen circumstances, some flexibility may be possible — please just get in touch and we’ll discuss the best option.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person if needed.
